Voting sub-boards, with optional ratification
A sub-board is a deliberative body in its own right. It may be voting or non-voting, and where your governing instrument requires it, its decisions can be held for ratification by the parent board.

The distinction from a committee
A committee advises; a sub-board decides. Conflating the two is a common source of governance error, so Secretarius keeps them as separate structures with separate toggles rather than one blurred concept.
Ratification, tracked
When ratification is required, a sub-board decision stays visibly pending until the parent board adopts it. Nothing sits in limbo unnoticed, and the ratifying motion is linked to the original decision.
