Committees

Advisory bodies that meet, report, and file to the board

Committees are advisory: they hold sessions and produce reports, but they do not vote and do not keep a separate minute book.

  • Create standing or ad hoc committees
  • Assign members and a chair
  • Committee sessions on the same calendar
  • Reports filed to the parent body's agenda
  • Optional restriction so members see only their own committee

Reports with an audit trail

A committee report stays editable up to the point it is filed, and every change is logged with who made it and when. The board sees the report attached to the agenda item where it will be received.

Turn it on only if you use it

Committees are enabled by a toggle in the Admin area. A small board that does not use committees never sees the vocabulary.
