Positions & voting rights
Your offices, your titles, and who carries a vote
Define the positions your governing instrument actually creates, and mark which of them vote.
- Create any position your bylaws define
- Flag each position as voting or non-voting
- Assign members to positions with terms
- Quorum and tallies count voting positions only
- Roster always displays full names
Non-voting officers do not distort the count
A recording secretary, an executive director, or a legal adviser may sit at the table without a vote. Marking the position non-voting keeps them on the roster and in attendance while leaving quorum and every tally correct.
Members without an email address
Not every member needs a login. A records-only member appears on the roster, counts for attendance and quorum, and can move or second a motion. Their record is maintained by an administrator.
